Sweet Dreams and Lullabyes

I'll Tuck You In

Little one,
it's time for bed
The sun is sleeping
The moon is high overhead

Let's pull up a blanket
to your chin
And I'll tuck you in

I'll tuck in your dreams
they'll all be sweet
I'll tuck in the secrets
that we keep

And all of the love
I have for you
I'll tuck that in too

The Third Trimester

We welcomed the third trimester with much excitement.  I was feeling great and it was time to setup the nursery.  I found a wonderful room theme "Zoology" by Amy Coe at Babies R Us along with a few first outfits.  We love the little animal faces in the tiny hats and in the decor.

The zoo theme, which is how our house will be in about three months, was mistakenly on sale! Josh is the bear, Jordan is the giraffe (he keeps growing and growing), Alec is the lion (for his loudness) and right about now I feel like a hippo... so it's all good...

A Shy Boy

28 weeks...

He was a shy boy on this ultrasound.  We couldn't get a good picture of his face since he was facing my spine.  He was growing great and flexed his little arm muscles for us to take a picture.  There's his tiny foot on his way to a size 13 like his daddy!

Justin Gabriel

I've always loved the name Justin.  Since Justin means fair and just and Gabriel means hero of God or strong man of God, I thought the name Justin Gabriel was a beautiful name for our littlest man.

To Make You Feel My Love

24 weeks...

"I would hold you for a million years
There ain't nothin' that I wouldn't do
Walk to the ends of the earth for you
Make you happy, make your dreams come true
To make you feel my love"
-Brandy Moore

He is definitely a boy!

Thank Heaven For Little Boys!

20 weeks...

First picture with the brothers.  They will be such great friends!  I was giddy when we discovered that our little one was a boy.  Our sons have given us such unending joy and love that I couldn't wait to have another son in our lives.  The boys were ecstatic and were looking forward to showing him all their little boy things -- Thomas the Tank Engine and LEGO's.

You Will Be In Our Hearts, Now and Forever More

16 weeks...

Our little one has grown by leaps and bounds!  We marveled at his cute little nose and features.  Our hearts are filled with love.

Letter To My Family

I do not have a face to see
or put inside a frame
I do not have soft cheeks to kiss
I don't yet have a name
You can't yet hold my tiny hands
Nor whisper in my ear
It's still too soon to sing a song
Or cuddle me so near
But all will change come June 26th
That's when they say I'm due
I'm your new son or daughter
I can't wait 'til I meet you
All I ask between now and then
Is your patience while I grow
I promise I'll be worth the wait
Because of all the love we'll know
So what I have to give you now
Is a wish to you from me
I cannot wait to be a part
Of this wonderful family

The Blob

8 weeks...

This appointment showed our little ones furiously beating heart. The angle was not great to see the baby's tiny limbs and features but, I happily cherished this image.

Our little peanut!

Five weeks...

The five week ultrasound displayed a teeny tiny peanut, swishing and swirling by its yolk sac.  I clearly saw its tiny hands and feet waving in the amniotic fluid.  My heart melted.

Our first look...

A tiny being has emerged.  We are so excited for the future.

Positively Exuberant!

Leaving the decision to have a third child to chance, we are exuberant at the thought of having a new baby in 2010 as our sons are now nine and seven.  We are cautiously optimistic waiting for our first doctor's appointment.
